About this role

If you’re passionate about facility management and have experience in Integrated Facility Management, you can help Amazon optimise its $3.7B annual facilities portfolio across hundreds of buildings. This role could be a perfect fit.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Program Manager within Amazon’s Global Base Building Standards & Compliance (GSC) team, part of the Central Reliability Maintenance Engineering (cRME) organization. This critical role will drive data accuracy of our base building equipment, standardise global maintenance practices, ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements worldwide, and develop innovative scalable solutions for a “hands‑off” base building maintenance service. The role reports to the Global Lead of GSC.

What you’ll do

Design and implement global facility management standards that transform how we maintain our building envelope worldwide. Lead strategic initiatives across Amazon’s facilities portfolio, develop innovative solutions for complex building systems, and continually improve operational efficiency. Program‑manage and support BXM’s flagship programs – Asset Data Integrity, PM Standardisation, and Compliance upgrade and regulatory audit programmes – in the Europe and International region. Build scalable frameworks for consistent, high‑quality facility management throughout our growing global portfolio, directly impacting operational success and environmental goals.

What sets you up for success

Deep expertise in program management, a solid understanding of facility management, and proven experience driving large‑scale operational improvements. Data‑driven problem‑solving, strong analytical skills, and an ability to influence and collaborate across complex, multi‑region organizations are essential. A track record of turning strategic vision into practical, scalable results that enhance building performance and reliability is critical.

Why you’ll love it

Make an impact at unprecedented scale, transform facility management across one of the world’s largest building portfolios, drive innovation in building technology, and support Amazon’s sustainability goals. Work with diverse teams across multiple continents and cultures to create measurable results in cost reduction, operational efficiency, and sustainability.

This role requires up to 50% travel.

Key job responsibilities
  • Engage with multiple stakeholders within the BXM team, field RME and external partners such as Global Procurement Organisation (GPO), Finance, and others to develop a program plan.
  • Identify requirements, develop vendor specifications, and lead the tendering and Request for Quotation (RFQ) process.
  • Evaluate technical vendor bids and onboard vendors.
  • Raise purchase requisitions on Amazon Coupa.
  • Develop detailed project plans with resource and cost estimates; identify critical path and risk of delay; plan mitigation actions to eliminate risks.
  • Lead project execution across multiple countries; monitor and control project progress.
  • Utilise the Amazon CMM system (APM) for project execution.
  • Identify risks to quality, scope, and time; plan mitigation actions; and, when required, escalates to senior leadership.
  • Provide progress reports and KPIs for significant milestones; mitigate conditions affecting project cost or schedule.
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs) and SQL.
  • Experience in program or project management.
  • Experience working cross‑functionally with tech and non‑tech teams.
  • Experience defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements.
  • Experience driving end‑to‑end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership.
  • Experience with stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization.
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules.
  • Experience using basic web‑based tools and products such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and SharePoint.
  • Experience in facilities management.
  • Will need up to 50% travel.
