At LGT Digital Factory we are searching for Performance Engineer for our Barcelona Office.

LGT is committed to developing and operating modern and cloud native applications with the primary goal of enhancing operational efficiency and creating great client experience.

LGT Digital Factory (DiF) acts as a strategic nearshore partner to implement state-of-the‑art client and employee IT front ends. To fulfill this mission, we interact closely with LGT business and IT units and third‑party vendors.

You can expect state‑of‑the‑art development tools and best‑in‑class DevOps processes.

Together with a young, highly motivated team you will build and run the DiF WindTunnel for performance engineering.

We are looking for a Performance Engineer with focus on performance testing and optimization who combines technical expertise with strong analytical skills and a passion for problem‑solving. Performance Testing & Optimization

Regularly conduct performance, load, and stress tests on web applications to ensure compliance with defined SLAs.

Analyze frontend performance using modern tools (e.g., Identify performance bottlenecks across frontend, APIs, and infrastructure, and recommend improvements.

Collaboration & Quality Assurance

Work closely with developers, testers, architects, and business stakeholders to integrate performance testing into CI / CD pipelines.

Document test strategies, scenarios, and results with clear reporting tailored to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Contribute to building a performance‑first culture by coaching teams and embedding testing early in the development lifecycle.

Monitoring & Incident Management

Monitor production environments using real‑user monitoring (RUM) and synthetic testing solutions.

Proactively identify risks and potential degradations in application performance.

Support troubleshooting of performance‑related incidents across multiple system layers.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

~2–4 years of experience in performance testing, ideally in banking or financial services.

Performance Engineering Expertise

Strong knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., Experience with frontend monitoring frameworks and developer tools.

Proficiency in scripting and test automation (JavaScript, Python, or similar).

Familiarity with CI / CD environments (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).

Solid understanding of frontend‑oriented development, including

Web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React / Angular).

Performance optimization techniques (lazy loading, caching, CDN, minification).

Backend / API dependencies and their impact on frontend performance.

Cloud and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).

Experience in the banking sector or with secure, regulated environments.

Exposure to synthetic monitoring and observability solutions (New Relic, AppDynamics, Elastic APM).

Knowledge of accessibility, security, and compliance standards in frontend applications.
