Description
The purpose of this role is to ensure that customers' needs are met while maximizing the company's profits. The Marketing Manager defines and implements marketing strategies for the Swine brands, monitors and analyzes market trends in the Swine industry, studies competitors' products and services, explores ways to improve existing product positioning and services, and focuses on increasing profitability. The role also involves identifying target markets and developing strategies to communicate with them to maximize demand (sell-out).
Position Responsibilities:
- Developing the swine brand plan and strategy to maximize portfolio performance through market knowledge, seeking growth opportunities via customer segmentation, value propositions, positioning, pricing, packaging, etc.
- Planning, developing, and executing effective marketing communication campaigns, both digital and traditional.
- Creating a consistent brand message that increases sales, enhances brand loyalty, and improves market share.
- Championing the brand internally to ensure all stakeholders understand its goals.
- Collaborating with all company departments to meet brand commercial objectives.
- Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders such as vets, KOLs, farmers, and industry associations.
- Participating in sourcing, manufacturing, and supply chain activities to align with brand and market needs.
- Developing high-quality marketing materials aligned with the brand strategy.
- Forecasting sales and volumes accurately for each brand to ensure alignment across the company.
- Presenting brand strategies to directors and teams at meetings and conferences.
- Managing external agencies and marketing budgets.
- Identifying new marketing opportunities to foster growth.
- Building strong relationships with sales and promotional teams.
- Conducting regular analysis of forecasting and phasing in collaboration with the Distribution Director.
- Ensuring compliance of all documentation related to meetings, contracts, promotional materials, etc.
- Reporting any pharmacovigilance issues during post-marketing activities or clinical trials.
- Monitoring scientific journals and magazines for potential pharmacovigilance issues.
- Managing Zoetis social media accounts, ensuring regular monitoring and prompt reporting of adverse events.
Organizational relationships:
- Reports to the Business Unit Director Livestock.
- Interacts with: Business Unit Director, Area Managers, Technical Managers, Supply Planning Managers, Market Logistics, Commercial Operations, Distribution Director, Communication Manager, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, international teams, CEO, VRMD, and GCD.
Education and Experience:
- Degree in Business Studies or a scientific field; a marketing degree is advantageous.
- Veterinary Medicine degree; postgraduate in marketing is advantageous.
- Knowledge of the swine industry and key stakeholders.
- Previous experience as a brand manager, preferably in a similar industry.
- Hands-on commercial experience with a passion for marketing.
- Experience with the full marketing mix.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills across organizational levels.
- Proficiency in numbers and IT tools.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
Willingness to travel regularly within Spain, the Cluster, and internationally.
