Position
Java Technical Lead (working close to a banking client on AWS).
Responsibilities
- Lead the development team to ensure timely delivery of high‑quality software.
- Set coding standards, best practices, and ensure adherence.
- Mentor and coach junior developers.
- Provide technical guidance and support.
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable software.
- Ensure stable and smooth maintenance of delivered software (DevOps model “you build it, you own it, you run it”).
- Ensure optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Participate in the complete Software Development Life Cycle, including occasional QA and peer review.
- Work to achieve goals and vision articulated by Product Management.
- Innovate within team, initiative area, and contribute in technical domain.
Qualifications
- Very strong Java programming skills, knowledge of building APIs, and experience with Spring Boot.
- Experience as Technical Lead.
- Deep understanding of all stages in the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Deep understanding of design patterns and principles (e.g., SOLID).
- Experience with testing types: Unit, API, Acceptance (Selenium/Cucumber), Load (JMeter/Gatling).
- Experience with distributed architectures (SOA or MSA), event‑driven architectures, and REST APIs.
- Relevant experience with AWS services.
- Experience with Gradle or Maven, Enterprise Jenkins.
- Experience working in an Agile fashion (Scrum, SAFe).
- Good English level (C1). Will work with international teams.
Desired Skills
- Experience in a highly regulated environment (banking).
- Experience with Docker.
- AWS certification.
- Experience with serverless technologies (Lambda, Fargate).
- Experience with TDD and BDD.
Work Location & Schedule
100% remote within Spain.
Business Hours. No intensive working days for Friday or summer.
