From Suanfarma Corporate Headquarters, we are looking for a Head of Accounting to join our Finance team, leading all accounting operations.

This is a key leadership role that will ensure the accuracy of our financial records, compliance with international accounting standards, and the timely consolidation and reporting of Suanfarma's financial results.

Mission : To manage Suanfarma's financial transactions, ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and provide accurate and timely accounting consolidation and financial reports.

Responsibilities: Handle the overall management and supervision of the accounting department, monitoring the evolution and ensuring processes accuracy and integration Ensure the accuracy of the company's financial records Plan, organize and coordinate month-end, quarter-end and year-end close process, making sure it's agile, timely and reliable.

Deliver the financial statements at the end of the closing and consolidation process (P/L and Balance Sheet).

Manage the relationship with external auditors, support the approval of annual financial statements with the Board of Directors.

Perform timely impairment tests, ensuring that assets are reflected at proper value in the Balance Sheet, anticipating strategic discussions and supporting decision making.

Support financial planning and budgeting process in connection with the FP&A department.

Support tax compliance in connection with the Tax department.

Safeguard the adequacy of the chart of accounts (global and local) structure, so that business transactions and processes can be properly accounted for and rightfully parametrized on the ERP system.

Promote the right structure and ownership of the G/L master data.

Analysis of the cost center structure and their optimization according to business structure and ERP optimization efforts.

Optimize the accounting process automation via ERP, and support financial reporting with data-science orientation Performing ad hoc work of analysis of profitability, investments or similar required by the management of the group for decision making.

Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures.

Requirements: Must possess strong communication, organizational, technology and leadership skills.

10 years of experience, including previous management responsibility.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.

Comprehensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Bachelor's degree in accounting, master's degree in business administration (MBA) or certification such as certified public accountant (CPA) or certified management accountant (CMA) are a plus.

Self-starter able to work autonomously in a distributed, international environment.

Experience with SAP and Business Central (MS Dynamics 365) Proficiency in English and in Spanish languages (written and spoken) Interested?
