A leading global social agency in Madrid is seeking an experienced IT Director to define and support technology strategy while managing a global IT team. This role requires expertise in ERP and CRM systems and the ability to drive integration and automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong strategic background in IT management and excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders. We seek a strong leader to define, deploy and support SAMY’s technology strategy to support our operations in the context of strong organic and acquisitive growth. This person will integrate existing talent into a new technology department, will be responsible for defining the department’s mission and objective, proposing the structure and main processes and work with the HR function to recruit talent (if new profiles are required)
This role will have to spearhead the development and implementation of a robust, streamlined technology stack and will be pivotal in ensuring our systems support current operations and facilitate seamless integration of future acquisitions.
Define and execute the global IT strategy aligned with company objectives
Establish IT governance, standards, documentation, and best practices across all regions
Manage external vendors, SaaS providers, implementation partners, and MSPs
Build, lead, and develop a global IT team (internal and external)
Own the selection, implementation, and ongoing development of the ERP system
Ensure reliable and scalable integrations between ERP, CRM, and other core systems
Partner closely with Finance, Controlling, and Operations to optimize business processes
Own and evolve the CRM platform (e.g. HubSpot), including:
System configuration, customization, and governance
Automation of sales, marketing, and customer service workflows
Data quality, reporting, and analytics
Drive automation initiatives across systems, tools, and products
Design and maintain integrations between internal products, SaaS tools, and platforms
Identify opportunities to reduce manual work and improve operational efficiency
Own Google Workspace administration, security, and user lifecycle management
Manage global software and license management
Ensure stable and standardized office IT infrastructure across 24 locations:
Office networks and WiFi
Hardware standards (laptops, peripherals, meeting room equipment)
Office IT audits and readiness checks for new or existing locations
Own IT security, access management, and identity concepts
Ensure compliance with data protection and regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR, ISO27001, TISAX)
Define and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity concepts
Extensive experience as an IT Director or in a similar leadership role within a complex, rapidly-evolving environment.
Proven track record in managing large-scale IT projects with a focus on integration, automation, and systems optimization.
Expertise in ERP and CRM systems, preferably including experience with HubSpot and NetSuite.
Expertise in designing and overseeing the implementation of data informational systems.
Strong strategic and leadership skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams and IT vendors.
Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders across all organizational levels.
Having held similar positions in a scale up or professional services firm is a plus.
Fluent in English and Spanish is a must.
