We work on challenging problems with thousands of variables affecting the supply chain, and we’re looking for talented people to help.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, environmental experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with teams across AWS to deliver high standards for environmental, safety and security while providing scalable capacity at the lowest possible cost. You’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

For over 15 years, AWS has been the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud computing platform. Cloud computing is the on‑demand delivery of IT resources over the Internet.

Ideal candidates will have excellent communication skills, local language proficiency, strong regulatory knowledge, and a track record of supporting complex program development and management of technical projects.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and support compliance with local and national environmental regulations, contractual obligations, and Amazon policy.
  • Drive an environmentally responsible culture within regional programs by integrating with engineering, construction, and operation teams while maintaining environmental management processes and external accreditation.
  • Ensure work by contractors, consultants, and employees aligns with Amazon standards.
  • Develop, analyze, and present environmental metrics; scan for risks and communicate insights to internal stakeholders.

  • Experience with regulatory assessments and environmental compliance (air quality, water quality, waste management, hazardous materials)
  • Applied knowledge of local, national and European environmental laws, regulations, and standards related to air quality, water quality, waste management, and hazardous materials
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or equivalent
  • Builder mindset in Environmental Program management (not merely a maintainer)
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, think big, and implement long-term improvements across projects
  • Use data to support plans and apply the Plan, Do, Check, Act methodology
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving and measurable results
  • Understanding of environmental regulations for the jurisdiction
