Who We're Looking For

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to join the Venga team and help grow and scale our products to the next level. This challenging role requires a strong technical background, exceptional leadership abilities, and a passion for driving engineering excellence. As an Engineering Manager at Venga, you will oversee the development and execution of projects, lead a cross-functional squad, manage careers and provide growth opportunities to your engineers, and collaborate closely with other teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality products.

What You'll Be Doing

Manage and lead a cross-functional engineering squad (mobile + backend), providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support to help them grow and succeed. Collaborate with product management and security to develop and prioritize product roadmaps aligned with Venga's strategy. Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning. Drive technical decision-making, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and meet quality standards. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies. Work with other engineering teams for seamless integration. Define and track KPIs to measure success. Communicate plans, progress, and results to stakeholders.

Who You Are & What You'll Need

- Minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.

- Servant leadership mindset and ability to inspire and motivate.

- Experience coaching, mentoring, and providing feedback, including difficult conversations.

- Familiarity with agile and scrum practices.

- Experience breaking down initiatives into milestones.

- Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Experience navigating ambiguous requirements and delivering successful products.

- High level of English proficiency.

Nice to have

- Blockchain and Web3 experience.

- FinTech experience.

- Familiarity with compliance, AML, and regulation.

- ISO / IEC 27001 experience.

Contract. Own your time: Manage start and finish times within each day. Mandatory office days: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
