Position summary

We are seeking an experienced BD specialist in Farming Inspection based in Spain to support the expansion of Q.Fly Water in the region. This role focuses on helping us understand the Spanish farming inspection landscape, advising on service positioning and pricing, and contributing to business development by identifying and securing new client accounts.

What you’ll do

Market & Pricing Strategy

• Assess the farming and agricultural inspection market in Spain, including competitors, typical service offerings, pricing structures, and customer expectations.
• Advise on appropriate pricing models for farming inspection services, aligned with Spanish and EU agricultural standards.
• Provide insights into relevant regulations, certification schemes, sustainability requirements, and compliance drivers affecting agricultural inspections.

Technical Expertise & Advisory

• Provide expert guidance on farming inspection methodologies, reporting standards, and quality assurance practices.
• Review and refine inspection frameworks to align with Spanish agricultural practices, crop types, and regional farming conditions.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert for internal teams, ensuring inspection services meet local market and regulatory expectations.

Business Development & Account Acquisition

• Identify potential customers in the area.
• Build relationships and introduce our services to prospective clients.
• Generate new leads and support efforts to convert prospects into active accounts.
• Represent the company professionally at meetings, site visits, and industry events when required.

Collaboration & Reporting

• Work closely with stakeholders in the UK to provide regular updates on market conditions, pricing recommendations, and business development progress.
• Deliver concise reports on findings, opportunities, and risks.
• Support the development of marketing materials or proposals as needed.

What you’ll bring

• Proven experience in farming inspection, agricultural consulting, or a related role in Spain.
• Strong understanding of agricultural operations, crop / plant production, farm management practices, and inspection processes.
• Knowledge of Spain water regulations, conservation programs, and regional irrigation trends.
• Demonstrated ability to assess market pricing and develop competitive pricing strategies.
• Experience bringing new clients or accounts into a service‑based business.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with remote, international teams.
• Self‑starter with the ability to work independently suited to a contract‑based role.

• Existing network within Spain’s agricultural, farming, or agribusiness sectors.
• Experience supporting international companies entering the Spanish agricultural market.
• Familiarity with digital, drone‑based, or remote sensing technologies used in agricultural inspection.
