Workster is partnering with a global technology and services organization to recruit an Accounting Specialist to join their on-site team in Barcelona. This role offers the opportunity to work in a stable, international environment while developing your accounting expertise within a structured finance function.

Your Role
  • Record and classify accounting transactions in the general ledger (income, expenses, assets, liabilities)

  • Prepare and review balance sheets, financial statements, and monthly, quarterly, and annual closing reports

  • Reconcile bank accounts and customer/supplier accounts, ensuring accuracy and consistency

  • Manage invoicing, collections, and payments, including correct VAT application and tax compliance

  • Support the preparation of tax declarations (VAT, income tax, corporate tax)

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting and financial documentation

  • Support internal and external audits by providing financial data and documentation

  • Assist with financial forecasts, reporting, and analysis

  • Monitor inventories and fixed assets, posting necessary accounting adjustments

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies

Your Qualifications
  • Fluent Spanish and advanced English (written and spoken)

  • 2–3 years of experience in an accounting or finance-related role

  • Solid understanding of general accounting principles and financial processes

  • Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail

  • Proactive mindset with the ability to take ownership of tasks

  • Team-oriented approach with good communication skills

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel)

The Offer
  • Full-time permanent contract (39 hours/week)

  • Working schedule: Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00
