Workster is partnering with a global technology and services organization to recruit an Accounting Specialist to join their on-site team in Barcelona. This role offers the opportunity to work in a stable, international environment while developing your accounting expertise within a structured finance function.
Record and classify accounting transactions in the general ledger (income, expenses, assets, liabilities)
Prepare and review balance sheets, financial statements, and monthly, quarterly, and annual closing reports
Reconcile bank accounts and customer/supplier accounts, ensuring accuracy and consistency
Manage invoicing, collections, and payments, including correct VAT application and tax compliance
Support the preparation of tax declarations (VAT, income tax, corporate tax)
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting and financial documentation
Support internal and external audits by providing financial data and documentation
Assist with financial forecasts, reporting, and analysis
Monitor inventories and fixed assets, posting necessary accounting adjustments
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies
Fluent Spanish and advanced English (written and spoken)
2–3 years of experience in an accounting or finance-related role
Solid understanding of general accounting principles and financial processes
Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail
Proactive mindset with the ability to take ownership of tasks
Team-oriented approach with good communication skills
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Full-time permanent contract (39 hours/week)
Working schedule: Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00
