The Logistics Head of Operations role presents a challenging yet rewarding opportunity at the intersection of analytical and creative thinking, with a significant impact on both our people and our business.

As a member of the Logistics Management Team, you will report directly to the Logistics Country Director for Germany, based in Berlin.

Strategy and Operations:

• Develop and execute the strategy for our German market in collaboration with the operations management team.
• Identify and implement growth initiatives such as geographic expansion, restaurant delivery area optimisation, and service time extensions.
• Ensure high-quality delivery service and monitor KPIs affecting couriers, customers, and restaurants.
• Utilise data to inform strategies and decision-making.
• Maintain compliance and safety standards in delivery operations.
• Lead operational efforts with third-party logistics providers.
• Assess and prepare for regulatory changes impacting the business.

Cross-Functional Efforts and Stakeholder Management:

• Partner with the Logistics Country Director to set strategic objectives and contribute to global thought leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, influence decision-makers, and challenge existing ideas.
• Work with finance to manage P&L, improve unit economics, and oversee budgeting and forecasting.
• Coordinate with HQ on product and process needs.
• Share best practices with other countries' Heads of Operations.
• Support regulatory and political issues in partnership with Policy, Legal, and Communications teams.

Talent Management:

• Lead and develop a motivated team of direct and indirect reports.
• Promote our culture and employer brand.

• Extensive experience in Operations or Strategic Consulting roles.
• Strong strategic thinking and attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proven success in achieving KPIs.
• Resilience and adaptability under pressure.
• Self-motivation in dynamic environments.
• Leadership skills to mentor and attract top talent.
• Experience in executing strategic and operational initiatives.
• Ability to integrate business, strategy, finance, and legal concepts.
• Willingness to travel regularly to Berlin and other locations in Germany.
• Experience with social relations involving authorities and regulators is a plus.
