About the team

The Data Search Architecture team empowers E.ON to deliver exceptional user experiences and drive business growth. As an Enterprise Search Engineer (f/m/d), you will manage and optimize the search functionalities of E.ON's applications and systems. Your tasks include configuring and tuning the corporate search engine for optimal performance and accuracy, as well as designing and implementing search features tailored to user needs.

Meaningful & challenging - Your tasks

• Design and engineer enterprise search solutions aligned with business requirements, leveraging Lucene-based technologies such as Elasticsearch and Apache Solr.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their search needs and translate them into technical specifications.
• Engineer solutions capable of ingesting data from diverse sources including databases, SharePoint, FTP servers, and web crawling.
• Develop near real-time search functionalities, batch data ingestion, and data crawling processes.
• Implement ETL processes to enrich and preprocess data for relevance and usability.
• Design and implement intuitive search interfaces with forms, facets, and filters.
• Engage in testing and fine-tuning for performance, scalability, and reliability.

Authentic & ambitious - Your profile

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with multiple years of experience in enterprise search solutions.
• Strong experience with Elasticsearch and Solr, understanding search relevancy, indexing, and algorithms.
• Knowledge of keyword, fuzzy, and vector search, UI design, and development.
• Experience integrating search solutions with client applications, data sources, CMS, etc.
• Excellent communication skills, confident in engaging with internal and external partners, with a strong service orientation.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
