Are you ready to turn complex business needs into future-ready solutions for global maritime leaders? At ORBCOMM, we’re looking for a highly skilled BusinessSolutions Architect to transform ideas into action and accelerate customer ROI for our Smart Containers line of business.

As a key member of ORBCOMM’s International Sales team, you’ll be a strategic, customer-facing technical expert at the intersection of customer success and solution delivery. You’ll combine deep technical expertise with hands‑on execution to lead solution design, PoCs, and pilots while guiding customers through architectural decisions that deliver business value.

In this high‑impact role, you’ll design, deploy, and optimize solutions that deliver real‑time visibility, reduce operational losses, and position ORBCOMM as a trusted partner. Your insights will influence product evolution through structured Voice of Customer (VoC) feedback, ensuring our solutions meet real‑world needs.

You’ll collaborate closely with Enterprise Customer Success Managers (E‑CSMs) on strategic accounts to ensure successful deployments, measurable outcomes, and long‑term adoption. You’ll uncover blind spots and turn them into actionable insights at scale.

• Support Strategic Customers Across Europe: Serve as the primary technical architect for Smart Container solutions, ensuring timely deployments and responsiveness to local needs. Partner with E‑CSMs on large maritime and intermodal accounts to drive onboarding, expansion, and optimization. Build strong relationships with customer stakeholders, from technical teams to executive leadership, across Europe’s leading carriers.
• Design and Deliver Future‑Ready Solutions: Conduct technical discovery to baseline current architectures, integrations, and operational processes. Design scalable, secure solution architectures aligned with customer goals and ORBCOMM’s Smart Container capabilities. Create architecture diagrams, integration specifications, and data design documentation to support deployments.
• Lead Deployments and Pilot Programs: Drive integration, configuration, testing, and validation of Smart Container solutions in customer environments. Own successful delivery of PoCs and pilots with clear success criteria and measurable outcomes. Coordinate execution with cross‑functional teams and prepare implementation plans, test scripts, and acceptance documentation.
• Provide Technical Leadership and Customer Guidance: Act as a trusted advisor—guiding architectural decisions that maximize operational efficiency and ROI. Translate complex technical concepts into clear, value‑driven narratives for business leaders. Share best practices and coach customers on workflows, integration patterns, and system utilization.
• Capture Voice of Customer and Influence Product Direction: Gather actionable insights from deployments, PoCs, and customer discussions to identify solution gaps. Provide structured feedback to Product Management and Engineering to shape roadmap priorities. Advocate for enhancements based on regional needs and industry trends.
• Collaborate Across Functions to Drive Success: Work closely with E‑CSMs on account plans, expansion opportunities, and technical escalations. Partner with Product, Engineering, RevOps, Sales Engineering, and Support to ensure solution feasibility and alignment. Contribute to internal knowledge bases, best practices, and reusable solution assets.

You’re a strategic problem‑solver with deep technical expertise and sharp business acumen, ready to turn complexity into clarity and deliver results with agility and precision.

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
• 5–8+ years in solution architecture, technical consulting, system integration, or SaaS/IOT solution delivery, with enterprise‑level experience.
• Expertise in cloud services, APIs, data models, networking, and enterprise IT ecosystems, plus hands‑on experience deploying software, integrations, or IoT systems.
• Industry experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, maritime, or industrial IoT.
• Proven ability to assess current‑state systems, design future‑state architectures, and deliver PoCs, pilots, and technical projects.
• Certifications in cloud or architecture frameworks (AWS, Azure, TOGAF, etc.), and familiarity with scripting, integration platforms, or data engineering.
• Strong communication and stakeholder influence skills, with a collaborative, customer‑focused mindset.
• Analytical and adaptable, able to navigate complexity while balancing strategic design and hands‑on execution.
• Ability to manage multiple regional engagements and collaborate with global teams on multi‑region deployments.
• Comfort with AI‑enabled tools and automation, and a commitment to continuous learning in digital and AI literacy.
• Multilingual proficiency (fluency in three languages strongly preferred).
• Willingness to travel internationally (up to 20%).
