YOU...

• enjoy working closely with stakeholders and customers to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements
• define and architect the software foundation for simulation control stations, instructor operating stations and flight training debriefing stations
• create intuitive, user-friendly interfaces using a custom GUI framework based on Qt/QML
• take responsibility for the overall technical structure -from organizing the codebase and defining interfaces to shaping how the software integrates with other systems
• design, develop, test and maintain software by writing clean, efficient and maintainable code, and follow software development best practices
• analyze and debug software issuesand fix bugs
• proactively identify technical risks and challenges, and develop strategies to mitigate them
• actively contribute to agile ceremonies such as planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
• take part in code reviews, helping to ensure high-quality, standards-compliant code
• ensure the software system design and architecture is scalable, maintainable and can be integrated with other systems
• support and mentor junior engineers, especially in the Qt/QML tech stack and the underlying architecture

Be our forward thinker

YOU...

• hold a degree in computer science or a similar field
• bring experience in software development, particularly in frontend/UI applications
• are skilled in designing and implementing complex software architectures in collaborative settings
• have strong expertise in C++ and the Qt/QML technology stack
• are familiar with modern DevOps pipelines, containerization, and agile development methods
• speak fluent English -and ideally, you also have very good German skills
