We are seeking a experienced and passionate Industrial Designer to join our dynamic startup in the robotics domain.

As an Senior Industrial Designer / Team Lead, you will play a critical role in pushing the boundaries of our robotic products further. Your creative vision and technical expertise will ensure the design intention will be implemented in our serial products and launch on the market with highest quality appearance.

Your unleashed creativity, focused creative direction, eye for details and knowledge of shipping products will be instrumental in delivering products to the expectations of our clients and meet the Agile Robots standards.

Your are experienced in leading creative teams and evolving product design languages, what will be essential for building a world-class design team.

In order to get a good first impression of your profile, we ask you to attach a portfolio to your application or to provide a website with samples showcasing your design work and demonstrating your ability to bring designs to market.

• Conduct user research together with UX Design and Product Management, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to understand user needs, real-world requirements, and promote user-centered design principles internally.
• Drive design projects from initial ideation sessions to quality release gates of serially produced final design parts.
• Create sketches, 3D models, renderings, prototypes, and design mock-ups to effectively communicate design concepts.
• Stay up to date with the latest design trends, emerging technologies in the robotics domain, and manufacturing methods.
• Develop a consistent design language aligned with our brand identity and design legacy.
• Work closely with R&D departments in Munich and overseas to ensure seamless implementation of designs, providing guidance and support throughout the development process.
• Lead and inspire the industrial design team in their daily design projects.
• Manage projects, including schedules, internal resources, external supplier deliverables, and reviews, in close coordination with the Head of Design.
• Continue building a design culture with high quality standards and output.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Design.
• Minimum 6 years of experience as an Industrial Designer in an agency or corporate environment (post-graduation).
• Strong interest in robotics and the automation industry.
• Experience designing B2B products in an industrial or robotics context.
• Ability to create outstanding, award-winning industrial design products.
• Proven experience shipping products to market.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino or SolidWorks, and KeyShot, Blender, or V‑Ray.
• Understanding and appreciation of hands‑on prototyping and 3D printing.
• Extensive experience designing products that have been manufactured and shipped.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, iterative development environment.
• Self‑motivated and agile learner.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing options, requirements, restrictions, and their cost impact.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present design concepts to cross‑functional teams.
• Experience managing overseas suppliers and manufacturers in Asia.
