We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Buyer – Franchise in our Madrid, London, or Milan office.
Michael Kors is seeking an Assistant Buyer to support the buying team in managing our growing Franchise business. Strong analytical skills, creative problem-solving abilities, and an entrepreneurial mindset are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate weekly sales reports and conduct business analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and optimize profitability.
- Maintain assortment sheets, update pricing, and reconcile orders.
- Recommend reorders for best-selling items and share insights to influence business growth.
- Implement and uphold merchandising guidelines, top investment strategies, and product knowledge sharing with partners.
- Assist in preparing and supporting presentations for buying initiatives.
- Analyze market data to identify assortment opportunities and create visual boards when necessary.
- Coordinate seasonal market events, either virtually or at the MK Showroom in Milan, and confidently present collections to franchise partners.
- Support order entry, follow-up, and communication with licensees, customer service, and merchandising teams.
- Monitor merchandise memos and support order adjustments, including replacements and OTB updates.
- Collaborate with buying, planning, operations, and VM teams to execute merchandising strategies per partner.
- Assist with marketing campaigns and partner visits, enhancing brand and market knowledge.
- Coordinate with operations to ensure timely shipments and order fulfillment, working with customer service as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- Proficiency in Excel and computer skills
- Excellent communication skills, capable of working across cultures
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with financial acumen
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Fashion sense and trend awareness
