What You Will Do
As Lead Knowledge Manager & Analyst at the Kuehne Climate Center (KCC) you will create a unique knowledge- and data repository for climate-related logistics and help expand it over the coming years. You will set up our Knowledge Hub with a team of Analysts and Researchers who will support all program lines of the KCC in research, advisory, training, and implementation projects.
At the same time you will also bring your analytical skills to bear in organizing datasets and performing analyses, do data modelling, and drive scenario analyses related to our projects.
Being the leader of the Knowledge Hub you will engage with the Executive Team in formulating the Knowledge & Analytics strategy for the KCC. You will manage the Knowledge Hub’s operations which includes building a top-notch research function, and being the line manager to the Hub’s staff.
You will also establish institutional knowledge partnerships, e.g., with the Kuehne Logistics University and other domestic and international organizations to develop leading analytical capabilities and databases to support logistics-related climate action.
The KCC is a new subsidiary of the Kühne Foundation, and its mission is to accelerate climate-compatible development within and through logistics systems. We do this through applied research & thought leadership, project & advisory work, and training & capacity building, with a focus on low- and middle-income countries.
KCC is a globally operating think & do tank headquartered in Hamburg’s vibrant Hafencity. From here, we support all our projects, actively partnering with our regional teams and with institutions from around the world.

You‘re good at
- Strategic thinking about knowledge management

You bring
- 8 years of work experience in knowledge (team) management and analytics in a research or business consulting environment
- Master’s Degree in management, data analytics or related relevant discipline
- Strong mastery of newest data & analytics tools, including AI-based approaches, needed to administer and analyze big data sets
- Experience in managing knowledge and analytics teams
- Expertise in logistics and climate-related business topics
- Ability to navigate and relate to senior stakeholders in academia (professors, PhDs)
- Good communication skills, ability to talk through PowerPoint slides
- Can-do mentality and independent work style
- Ability to connect with remote team and leadership
- Eligibility to work in Germany
- Fluency in English and at least one other language
Demonstrated commitment or experience of working in or with low- and middle-income countries is an advantage.
