To strengthen our team of around 80 professors, the Faculty of Computer Science is seeking to fill the following professorship as soon as possible:

W2 Professorship (m/f/d) “Computer Science, with a focus on Cyberpsychology in IT Security”
Your Responsibilities:
  • Conducting English- and German-language courses, particularly in the field of psychology and the analysis of human behavior in the context of IT security (e. g., human behavior related to cyberspace, forensics, social engineering, digitalization, the internet, social media, gaming, mobile computing, artificial intelligence, virtual or augmented reality), as well as innovatively expanding the range of courses offered.
  • Strengthening the university’s research and knowledge transfer activities, developing a research profile, and collaborating with internal and external research partners.
  • Representing the professorship in teaching, research, and knowledge transfer, and participating in academic self-governance.
Your Profile:
  • A completed university degree in psychology, computer science, or a related field.
  • Practical professional experience in the above-mentioned field, including psychology and the analysis of human behavior in relation to IT security (e. g., human behavior concerning cyberspace, forensics, social engineering, digitalization, internet, social media, gaming, mobile computing, artificial intelligence, virtual or augmented reality)
  • Teaching experience
  • Willingness to conduct hybrid (in-person and online) courses
  • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment
  • Strong professional network in the relevant subject areas
  • Enthusiasm for and experience in applied research in the above-mentioned fields
  • Ideally, experience in acquiring and managing externally funded research projects

Appointment Requirements in accordance with § 47 of the State Higher Education Act of Baden-Württemberg (LHG BW):

In addition to a completed university degree, appointment requirements include a particular aptitude for academic work, usually demonstrated by a doctoral degree, as well as proven teaching ability.
