Responsibilities


  • During the 18-24 months trainee program, you will develop a deep understanding of Uniper’s business, its value drivers, and the business environment

  • You will start in Energy Assets for the first six months of your trainee program and then rotate flexibly upon your personal career development path and interests across the organization – you design your personal placement plan and receive support from your own mentor

  • You will contribute to and learn from our trainee community, receive trainings and development opportunities

  • In your predefined home unit within the Energy Assets Strategy department – Asset Parameter Management team, you will contribute to maximizing the value and optimizing the performance of Uniper’s power plants across multiple portfolios in key markets

  • You will gain an in-depth understanding of the power business value chain and further develop your capabilities in optimizing existing assets as well as integrating new green assets into the portfolio

  • You will be actively involved in implementing our digitalization strategy and gain hands-on experience in applying the latest technological developments to real business challenges, supporting both your professional growth and practical learning


Your profile


  • Successfully completed studies in business administration, (electrical, mechanical, industrial) engineering, economics or similar fields, ideally with a focus on the energy business

  • First practical experience gained through internships and/or working student activities, ideally including intercultural experiences

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI

  • Experience in digitalization and usage of AI-enabled tools and the ability to apply them effectively in day-to-day work

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • High level of ownership, accountability, and results orientation

  • Structured and analytical working style, combined with a collaborative, proactive mindset

  • Excellent written and spoken English, German is a plus

We are fortunate that, on average, more than 95 % of all trainees remain with our team after their program and take on an appropriate follow-up position.
