As a Trainee in “Digital Transformation Quality”, you will be part of our mission to push digitalization in Quality Management to the next level. In Digital Transformation Quality, we design and implement the digitalization strategy for the worldwide Quality Management in Mercedes-Benz Cars and work closely with our IT partners to create innovative approaches that truly make an impact. Quality is at the core of customer satisfaction – and you will help us keep it that way. Data is your playground, and AI technology is your toolkit. You will dive into complex data ecosystems, set up and implement advanced analytics solutions, and collaborate with stakeholders to transform raw data into actionable insights by using AI. From building scalable data pipelines to developing dashboards and predictive models, you will contribute to projects that shape the future of Mercedes-Benz. As part of international project teams, you will actively support large‑scale data analytics initiatives, work with modern technologies like Python, SQL, and cloud platforms, and learn from experienced data engineers and data scientists. This is your chance to combine IT expertise, creativity, and collaboration – and make quality smarter.

This position is located in a department that is currently being set up. Therefore, you will have the opportunity to bring in your ideas and experience in shaping the tasks. Flexibility in this process is a pre‑requisite.

Qualifications

• An above-average degree (master, MBA or doctorate)in Data Science, Information Technology, Business Informatics or comparable course of study
• Maximum of 3 years of professional experience (apart from studies)
• At least 3 months of experience abroad (study, international internship, work and travel)
• Strong skills and affinity for digital technologies: Relevant Data Science languages (e.g., Python), very good knowledge of relevant cloud platforms (e.g., Databricks, Azure, AWS), large-scale data processing frameworks (e.g., PySpark), and relevant AI models (e.g., GPT, Gemini, Claude), SQL, PowerBI, statistical analysis skills
• We value applicants who show a strong sense of social responsibility
• Excellent English skills (C1) and proficiency in German (B2) are a must, Spanish (B2) is an advantage
• You are eager to shape the transformation at Mercedes-Benz and take responsibility
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with exceptional analytical abilities and the ability to communicate any technical topic to top management
• You demonstrate strong teamwork skills who motivates others to achieve their goals
