To strengthen our campus management team in Vallendar, we are looking for an operational all-rounder (f/m/d) who can help shape campus operations with their overview, technical skills, and coordination abilities - for students, employees, and guests of WHU.
Your mission
Technical operation & maintenance
- Support for building technology, including troubleshooting and minor repairs to building services equipment
- Carrying out inspection rounds (buildings, building services, fire protection, safety technology, traffic safety)
- Fault management, minor maintenance, and repair work
Provider management & operator responsibility- Management and coordination of external subcontractors and service providers, as well as carrying out acceptance tests
- Assumption of operator responsibility within the scope of delegation in the area of responsibility
- Monitoring of safety and regulatory requirements
Energy management & digitalization- Collaboration in energy management: consumption control, meter reading, savings measures
- Working with a CAFM system, including data maintenance and fault reporting processes
- Documentation of technical measures and digital quality certificates
Organization & support- Relocation management, event logistics, and on-campus support
- Invoice verification and processing in the FM area
- Assumption of on-call duties in rotation with the team
Your profile
- You have completed technical or vocational training – ideally related to building services or industrial engineering
- You have several years of professional experience in building operations or comparable areas
- You think across disciplines, are decisive, and have a strong service orientation
- You work in a structured, reliable, and independent manner – even under time pressure
- You have good knowledge of working with digital tools (e.g., CAFM, maintenance apps)
- You have a good command of German; English skills are desirable
- You are willing to work flexibly (e.g., special events, emergencies, on-call duty)
- Further training as a facility management specialist (GEFMA 620) or certificates of competence (e.g., elevator systems, fire protection) are an advantage
