This role is part of our Design & Technology business team. We combine our skills in developing future‑ready technical solutions with our expertise in creating beautiful designs to deliver exceptional and engaging digital experiences that build lasting relationships with our clients.

JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for a QA Lead to drive quality across our projects ensuring software products meet the highest standards before release. The role requires strong expertise in Quality Assurance practices, the ability to manage and improve QA processes and the capability to mentor and guide junior and mid‑level QA engineers. This is a highly independent role with significant impact across projects and teams. The QA Lead will act as both a hands‑on testing expert and leader raising quality standards at project and team level. Working closely with the Head of QA to align strategy and delivery as well as day‑to‑day leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and manage a QA team ensuring motivation, growth and professional development.
  • Take care of the team by supporting career development, well‑being and team cohesion.
  • Work closely with the Head of QA to shape QA strategy and ensure alignment across regions.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching and training to Junior and Professional QA Engineers.
  • Introduce new team members to project requirements, workflows and test methods.
  • Act as a point of contact for stakeholders providing advice on defect severities, quality risks and testing strategies.
  • Advocate for quality throughout the development process and represent QA in cross‑team discussions.
  • Plan and execute incremental SIT, E2E regression and acceptance testing.
  • Design, execute and evaluate complex test suites across multiple test levels (unit, integration, system, acceptance).
  • Evaluate and implement QA measures across the development pipeline, including CI / CD.
  • Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases and defects.
  • Conduct systematic defect analysis and maintain high standards in bug reporting (screenshots, logs, recordings).
  • Perform API testing (REST, GraphQL) and backend validation.
  • Apply deep understanding of web technologies to evaluate testability and automation readiness.
  • Review and assess implementations for tracking, performance and accessibility.
  • Contribute to discussions on software architecture and testing approaches.
  • Stay current with emerging AI testing practices and tools and explore opportunities to enhance QA processes with AI.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Quality Assurance with strong hands‑on and leadership exposure.
  • Proven track record in leading QA processes across multiple projects.
  • Solid background in system integration, acceptance and regression testing.
  • In‑depth knowledge of test design techniques, test levels and test methods.
  • Experience with automation frameworks, especially Playwright and Selenium.
  • Strong knowledge of CI / CD pipelines and risk‑based testing.
  • Strong technical foundation with experience in web technologies and APIs.
  • Interest in AI‑driven testing approaches and the ability to explore innovative QA practices.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to explain QA practices to teams, management and clients.
  • Ability to adapt to different teams and client expectations.
  • Deep expertise in QA practices with the ability to identify, solve and advise on complex issues.
  • Interest and curiosity in AI technologies and their application to testing and automation.
  • German and English written and spoken.
