They are positioned for long-term, multi-project involvement, offering engineers the chance to work on strategically important, cutting-edge communication systems and future combat air systems (FCAS) projects.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer for Communication Systems (FCAS) to join our client’s Berlin team. This role offers hands-on systems engineering experience in aerospace and defense, focusing on communication architectures, requirements management, and system integration. Remote work is possible up to 60%.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and monitor system and subsystem architectures for complex communication systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers and specialists to define use cases and system requirements
• Manage the full lifecycle of requirements: capture, analysis, validation, and traceability
• Lead interdisciplinary coordination for the development and implementation of technical solutions
• Conduct system analyses, evaluate architectural alternatives, and validate system features
• Perform risk analysis and assessment of system properties
• Support integration, verification, and validation (IV&V) of systems and components
• Document system requirements, specifications, and project status reports

Required Qualifications

• Technical degree in Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent
• Proven experience in systems engineering for complex technical systems
• Knowledge of MBSE, DOORS, Jira, and project management methods
• Experience with modern radio communication systems is an advantage
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Structured, solution-oriented, and highly responsible working style
• Business-fluent German and English (negotiation level)
