Job Details

Are you curious about the future of computing? Do you want to work with the latest Intel processors and platforms? We are seeking a senior software developer with a Master7s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering to join the System Debugger Development team. You will develop system debug tools that support the bring-up of firmware and OS kernels on Intel platforms and contribute to features of the system-level debugger. Our software enables Intel products from the IoT/embedded segment up to enterprise servers. Intel is an equal opportunity employer.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and test features of the system-level debugger
  • Collaborate within a diverse team to bring up firmware and OS kernels on Intel platforms
  • Contribute to tools that support firmware/OS bring-up across Intel product lines
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in computer science or computer engineering
  • Solid C, C++ and Python skills (extensive experience)
  • Strong understanding of Intel Architecture (IA-32e) and ISA knowledge beyond x86 (e.g., ARM, RISC-V)
  • Experience developing modern PC firmware (e.g., UEFI BIOS) and system debug/trace technologies (JTAG, Intel Probe Mode)
  • Experience with silicon/platform bring-up; debugger development experience (2+ years)
  • Understanding of operating system internals and git; experience with CMake, Jenkins and SDL tools
  • English communication skills
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience with Rust; open-source contributions
