System AIT Engineer (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

1. Assume overall AIT technical responsibility and serve as the go-to person for a project across disciplines, collaborating closely with the AIT manager.
2. Coordinate the technical activities of the assigned AIT project team.
3. Ensure implementation and compliance with OHB’s AIT processes.
4. Define AIT flow, ground support equipment, and facility concepts in the early project phases.
5. Standardize and update AIT documentation, including AIT Plans, Facility Plans, Ground Support Equipment Deployment Plans/Specs, AIT Risk Registers, Procedures, etc.
6. Ensure ground support equipment suitability, integration, and test definitions across disciplines.
7. Maintain technical consistency of documents, ground support, equipment, and test setups.
8. Define and manage interfaces with engineering, verification, and PA teams.
9. Assist in preparing and participating in test reviews (IRR/TRR, PTR) in coordination with the AIT Manager.
10. Organize results data reviews and drive approvals.
11. Manage AIT data storage for the project.
12. Define and oversee AIT tools usage for the project.
13. Support the AIT manager in planning activities.
14. Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to employees.
15. Perform other relevant activities as needed based on skills and knowledge.

Your Qualifications

• Completed engineering studies in a relevant field or equivalent qualification.
• Extensive experience in space projects, with technical competence across relevant areas, familiarity with space processes, and a structured working approach.
• Good communication skills, problem-solving orientation, flexibility, and resilience.
• Leadership skills.
• Strategic thinking, foresight in planning, awareness of costs and schedules, and risk management.
• Willingness to travel and work shifts.
