The Team

Our DACH team is one of the most strategic and high-impact teams at Celonis—responsible for driving growth in a region that includes some of the most influential and complex enterprise organizations in the world. We partner with DAX-listed corporations, global market leaders, and high-revenue enterprises to support their digital and operational transformation journeys—positioning Celonis as a long-term strategic partner.

While our success to date in DACH has primarily been driven by the private sector, as well as with municipal and state-level utilities, we are now entering a new phase of growth: Building on our global public sector success stories, we are expanding our strategic focus to the German public sector. To support this expansion and help shape our long-term presence in the public sector, we are building a dedicated team and hiring several Strategic Account Executives – Public Sector.

The Role

This is more than a normal Account Executive role—it’s a rare opportunity to contribute to shaping the future of public sector transformation in Germany. You will contribute to building something with long-term meaningful impact - for some of the most critical public institutions in the country as well as for Celonis. If you’re motivated by purpose, responsibility, and the opportunity to become part of a newly established team —this is your moment.

You will build key relationships at the highest levels. Your focus will be on driving engagement and sales across some of the largest German governmental ministries and organisations at federal and state levels with the objective of positioning Celonis as a strategic transformation partner for these institutions.

The Work you’ll do
  • Clearly communicate the Celonis public sector-specific value proposition through presentations and proposals with high quality and deep domain knowledge
  • Own annual sales targets within your assigned segment/accounts
  • Partner effectively with your customers, deeply understanding their needs and translating them into tangible outcomes
  • Engage closely with partners (e.g. consulting firms, technology vendors) and build and maintain trusted, long-lasting relationships, ensuring alignment at all levels and proactive account management
  • Drive complex sales cycles through orchestrating virtual teams including business development representatives, marketing, partner management, pre-sales, customer success, professional services and partners
The qualifications you need
  • Deep understanding of the German public sector at federal and/or state level, supported by an established professional network
  • Strong background in sales and/or management consulting
  • Highly ambitious, driven, and results-oriented with a track record of consistently exceeding revenue targets
  • Strong ability to build and maintain senior stakeholder relationships and engage with them across complex organizations
  • Experience managing complex, long sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to navigate direct and matrix organizational structures
  • Demonstrated success in working with or through partners—especially consulting firms and enterprise technology providers
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in both German (fluent) and English
  • Self-starter with excellent time management, prioritization, and decision-making skills
