About The Role

We are looking for a strategic, data-driven, and execution-oriented Sr. Operations Manager (m/w/d) to join our Retail & Uber Direct team in Germany. In this role, you will lead critical initiatives that directly impact marketplace performance and operational reliability for our Retail business on Uber Eats, as well as merchants' success on their own channels through Uber Direct.

You will own complex cross-functional projects to drive operational excellence and deliver an exceptional experience for merchants, customers, and couriers. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, comfort navigating ambiguity, and the ability to drive alignment with stakeholders across Product, Courier Ops, Commercial, and Central Ops teams.

What You'll Do

As Senior Operations Manager (m/w/d), you will be a key player in shaping the success of our Retail and Uber Direct verticals. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring and Improving Performance: You will own the operational levers for Retail and Uber Direct, using data to track performance, diagnose issues, and improve the experience for couriers, customers, and merchants.
• Building and Optimizing Processes: Design scalable processes, models, and dashboards to enhance operational reliability, efficiency, and unit economics.
• Shaping Product Development: Act as the voice of the German market, translating operational needs into product feedback, supporting launches, and ensuring the adoption of new features.
• Leading Cross-Functional Initiatives: Manage complex, business-critical projects by collaborating with various teams, including Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, and Marketing.
• Supporting Strategic Partnerships: Work with Sales and Account Management to support merchant success through pitches, problem-solving, and business reviews.
• Driving Business Insights & Strategy: Use SQL and advanced analytics to build data-informed business cases that guide strategic decisions for the Retail Marketplace and Uber Direct.

• Proficiency in SQL and Excel/Google Sheets is essential for analyzing large datasets and building models.
