Let's connect : If you want to experience how things are done in the Service, Digitisation & Automation team in Finance Global Services, at our headquarters in Hannover / Germany, join us on a temporary basis for 24 months, commencing as soon as possible as a Software Engineer . We are starting a new project in the insurance sector at the beginning of the year, focussing on retrocessions. As part of an agile team, you will work with us to develop a completely new application - Greenfield. In the first project phase, you will be actively involved in setting up our system landscape and development environments.

You can look forward to

• Setting up and configuring modern development environments with Docker, Kafka, Terraform and Kubernetes
• Support in setting up CI / CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
• Development and connection of REST and SOAP APIs
• Backend development of a new application in the insurance environment
• Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team from development, architecture and specialist departments

You come equipped with

Experience in backend development with one or more of the following technologies : Java, C#, .NET, Node.js, Python

Knowledge of PostgreSQL, ideally also with Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server

Ideally initial experience with cloud hosting (e.g. PostgreSQL in the cloud)

Ideally experience with Azure Pipelines, Docker, Kafka, Terraform and Kubernetes

Openness to new technologies and a desire to actively participate in architectural decisions

Willingness to think your way into technical processes
