Qualifikationen

Could you be the full-time Site Global Planning Director (f/m/d) in Bautzen we’re looking for?

Your Future Role

In Bautzen, 1,200 colleagues manufacture S-Bahn, tram, and light rail vehicles, as well as high-speed trains, with a focus on final assembly, commissioning, and delivery Our product line Rolling Stock & Components offers products from the broadest portfolio in the rail industry. Our innovation focus is on green and smart solutions, including emission-free propulsion systems such as batteries and hydrogen. In this position you’ll report to the Site Managing Director and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.

We’ll look for you to :

  • Manage all facets of planning within a huge train manufacturing site (>10 different products/projects in parallel), in close coordination with other sites, departments, product lines, Group Planning, Project Management and regions

  • Coordinate all planning activities in the different departments (Project Management, Production, Testing, Development and Production Engineering, Infrastructure, Logistics)

  • Ensure the “On Time Delivery” of the Customer contractual milestones for all Projects

  • Ensure time coherency between the different functions, axis (project management, development, programs, operations), layers (strategic, tactical, operational) for all recurrent and non-recurrent planning activities

  • Define/update the planning capacity models (especially headcount and skills)

  • Define/coordinate the trainings curriculum, the Planning Academies, the mentoring program and the Project Planning certification

  • Make sure that Project schedules and Operations schedules are properly integrated and coordinated

  • Ensure the End-to-End vision across Operational / Tacticaland Strategic levelsof planning

  • Define/update the Capacity and Resources Management processes

  • Define the planning tools and data apps landscape, incl. the application and integration rules for sub-schedules

  • Manage the workload consolidation and provide relevant tools and templates

  • Responsible of achievable and winning planning for bids with main milestones and risks

All About You

  • Successful graduation in engineering or business (mandatory: bachelor / desirable: master or diploma)

  • Min. 10 years experience in different positions in Planning, Project Management or Production (Project- / Bid-Management, Development, Production), especially in scheduling processes and tools

  • Good knowledge of MS office and planning tools such as Planisware, Primavera and Microsoft Project

  • Good experience of the Railway Industry or Construction, desirable: knowledge of Alstom specific products and processes

  • Experienced management skills: results-driven personality and decision-maker

  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills, including interfacing with senior management

  • Strategic, rigorous, multi-tasking, collaborative, accountable and transparent; build consensus in their area of responsibility

  • Comfortable working in a matrixed, international environment

  • Fluent in German and English (min. C1)
