Job Summary

As a Senior Underwriter (w/m/d) Trade Credit, you will be responsible for underwriting national and international trade credit risks, developing and managing a portfolio with focus on the DACH region, acquiring and coordinating with the sales team and partners, negotiating renewal strategies, reviewing wordings, creating portfolio reports, and coordinating international programs with stakeholders throughout AIG.

Responsibilities
  • Underwriting of national and international trade credit risks within the multinational & strategic accounts segment
  • Expansion and steering of a trade credit portfolio with a focus on the DACH region
  • Acquisition and support in coordination with the sales team and partners
  • Development of renewal strategies including negotiations
  • Review of wordings
  • Creation of reports on portfolio development
  • Coordination of international programs with other stakeholders within AIG
Qualifications
  • Study in law, economics or a comparable field
  • Multiple years of experience in banking and/or insurance, preferably in credit insurance, working capital / receivables finance
  • Experience in developing terms, concepts and wordings
  • Experience and confidence in negotiating with corporate clients and banking institutions
  • Strong communication skills and clear, precise articulation in German and English; additional foreign language skills are an advantage
  • Decision-making, teamwork, initiative
  • Willingness to support sales and travel, mainly within the DACH region
  • Solid PC skills, especially in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
