About the Role

You will be part of a highly collaborative product team working at the core of our manufacturing facility, transforming digital models into physical elements at scale. Product teams own what they build, including underlying infrastructure, build pipelines, automated testing, release and rollout management, monitoring and support.

Responsibilities

• Understand and explain the existing PLC/OT code base from our vendor to the rest of your team.
• Evolve the current architecture into a truly Software‑Defined Manufacturing setup.
• Bring an operational mindset to monitor, maintain and improve software uptime, including reliable updates, latency and efficiency.
• Act as a bridge between digital product delivery and physical logistics and manufacturing systems, ensuring alignment and integration.
• Help define, monitor and evolve SLAs/SLOs as well as other important KPIs like OEE for critical systems.

Qualifications

• You are an experienced software/automation engineer with PLC and OT technologies.
• Willing and excited to adopt modern software engineering approaches such as code reviews, testing, CI/CD.
• Have operated and supported large‑scale software/OT systems.
• Worked in companies with strong operational cultures, ideally in logistics or manufacturing, understanding the commercial impact of system downtime.
• Proficient with PLC programming (TIA 19 is a plus), robot programming (KRL is a plus), OPC‑UA, MQTT (plus), Python/C/C# (plus).
• Familiar with monitoring and alerting practices for production systems.
• Experience defining and working with SLAs/SLOs.
• Willing to travel to our manufacturing site in Richen whenever needed and within Germany and Austria for in‑person team events.
