Job Title: Senior) RMTS System-Engineer

Responsibilities
  • Effective RMTS team member focused on Reliability, Maintainability, Testability and Safety; collaborate with multiple international engineering domains (Hardware, Software and Test Equipment) with the main focus on Safety Engineering.
  • Provide evidence that the system and the development process meet airworthiness design standards; review, contribute to, and approve subsystem development planning.
  • Ensure completeness of the Safety Program Plan and alignment with applicable safety assessment processes; perform required Safety Analyses (SFHA, PSSA, SSA) per guidance and practices.
  • Reliability Engineering: perform reliability predictions and analyses based on standards and historical data; prepare FMECA and Failure Catalogue on LRUs and functional levels; collaborate with design engineers to incorporate reliability requirements into product designs; present findings to management and customers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Eng., Computer Eng., Systems Engineering, Communications Eng., Aerospace Eng., or equivalent.
  • NATO-citizenship due to work on classified projects; existing security clearance would be advantageous.
  • Enhanced knowledge about aerospace equipment / Line Replaceable Units; collaboration across engineering domains (Hardware, Software, Test Equipment).
  • Basic understanding of circuit diagram analysis for FMECA generation; experience in schematics design; experience in Safety Analysis on LRU and/or platform systems level.
  • Experience in problem solving within given boundary conditions and in requirement capturing.
  • Application of DO-254 / DO-178B / DO-178C / ARP4754 standards.
  • Interpersonal quality (team player).
  • Mandatory English at B2/C1 minimum; German B2 or better preferred.
  • Experience with DOORS and/or JAMA; Jira; MS Office suite; Tortoise SVN; PTC Windchill.
  • Familiar with typical avionic signal standards (MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, RS-232, Ethernet); familiar with typical computer signal standards (Ethernet, PCIe, SATA, I2C).
