An innovative e-commerce company in Hamburg is looking for a QA Engineer to ensure the quality and stability of modular e-commerce solutions. You will validate complex frontend and backend interactions and perform API testing using tools like Postman. The ideal candidate has over 6 years of experience in QA, understands RESTful APIs, and enjoys a flexible work environment. Benefits include flexible hours, discounts, and access to learning platforms.
We take responsibility for creating an inclusive and exceptional environment where all genders, nationalities and ethnicities feel welcomed and accepted exactly as they are. We believe that a diverse workforce essentially contributes to the SCAYLE culture. In order to maintain talent and diversity, we emphasize the care for physical health, mental health and overall well‑being. Our values and work ethics essentially contribute to our brand mission: empower acceptance and shape an inclusive, fair and circular fashion culture.
As part of SCAYLE’s Add‑on Unit, we design, build, test, fix, release, and monitor modular, plug‑and‑play e‑commerce solutions for the SCAYLE commerce engine, solutions that enable additional capabilities for our tenants, drive conversion, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure seamless integrations across diverse customer setups.
Within this context, our QA Engineer plays a key role in safeguarding the quality and stability of these add‑ons throughout their entire lifecycle. As an essential member of the unit, the QA is responsible for validating complex FE/BE interactions, ensuring integration reliability, and supporting the team in delivering robust, production‑ready features.
What you will do:
Testing complex frontend and backend integrations between SCAYLE, Add‑ons, and external systems (e.g., marketplaces, partner services, etc).
Performing comprehensive API testing (CRUD operations, error validation, contract behavior) using tools like Postman.
Executing and maintaining E2E, regression, and functional tests across multiple customer scenarios and configurations.
Debugging cross‑system communication by analyzing logs, payloads, and service interactions to identify root causes quickly and accurately.
Using monitoring tools such as Datadog to validate system performance, trace flows, and detect inconsistencies or failures after releases.
Who you are:
Strong experience testing complex FE and BE integrations (web apps, microservices, external systems)
Solid understanding and hands‑on experience with RESTful APIs, CRUD operations, and tools like Postman
Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge (writing simple queries, joins, validations).
