Responsibilities

• Program and Portfolio Management
  • Facilitate and align goal planning across Climate change, Supplier Responsibility and Responsible Operations.
  • Manage and track Project Portfolios across multiple sustainability Goals, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Provide analytic support and performance insight to goal owners to drive informed decision-making.
• Scope 3 Program Management
  • Mentor and develop a Junior Sustainability Specialist into a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Scope 3 emission management.
  • Oversee the annual Scope 3 Inventory Calculation, including coordination of external assurance and continue process improvement.
  • Support data validation, consolidation and analytics for Scope 3 reporting.
  • Collaborate with Chief Procurement Officer to drive the Scope 3 Council initiatives and supplier engagement.
  • Establish Scope 3 emission reduction targets and coordinate cross-functional efforts to achieve them.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all internal and external communications related to Climate Change, Supplier Responsibility etc.
• Decarbonization & Energy Strategy
  • Partner with Sites leaders, technology experts & global energy manager to drive execution of decarbonization projects across Trinseo assets.
  • Prioritize initiatives based on environmental impact and market opportunities.
  • Align and track sustainability goal, decarbonization efforts with Capex plan.
  • Support the development and execution of renewable energy strategic inline with corporate sustainability goals.
• Partners with business units to identify and develop new technologies to lower our overall costs and support our sustainability goals.
• Coordinates workstream timelines to ensure on-time delivery of key programs.
• Identifies critical issues and makes priority decisions based on program deliverables. When steering team decisions are needed: elevates critical issues.
• Lead Integration management efforts to ensure seamless execution across sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor or master’s degree in environmental science, Sustainability, Engineering, Data Analytics etc

5-7 years in sustainability program management, ESG reporting, or climate related initiatives

• Proven experience in Scope 3 emissions management, GHG Inventory and sustainability data system (e.g. Enablon, Datalake etc)
• Strong understanding of GHG Protocol, GHG emission accounting and climate risk framework.
• Proficiency in data analysis, validation and visualization tools.
• Experience with sustainability report platform, framework and tools.
• Demonstrate ability to manage complex, cross-functional sustainability programs and portfolios.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines
• Experience in stakeholder engagement, both internal & external, including suppliers, consultants & customers
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical data into actionable insights
• Strategic thinker with proactive, solution-oriented mindset

Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities especially in developing Junior team members.
