Senior Mechanical Engineer (m/w/d/x)

As of now

  • Preparation of typical documentation for mechanical engineering and plant design, as well as associated calculations, data sheets and specifications for NTES projects
  • Development of designs and layouts for plants and components
  • Preparation of technical calculations and component designs
  • Support for research projects
  • Planning of nuclear waste treatment plants and decommissioning activities
  • Management of technical and project-related mechanical engineering data
  • Preparation of relevant operating instructions
  • Coordination of assembly work in consultation with specialist construction managers from various disciplines
  • Commissioning of delivered plants in consultation with specialist construction managers
  • Instruction and training of customer employees
  • Compliance with applicable legal requirements and regulations set by the relevant supervisory and licensing authorities, as well as all relevant standards, guidelines and other regulations
  • Compliance with company guidelines and procedural instructions for project management
  • Communication with customers/authorities in consultation with the project manager
  • Independent processing of work packages in compliance with the specified time frame and budget
  • Instruction of mechanical engineers entrusted with the processing and execution of tasks from the work packages
  • Review and verification of work performed by other engineers
Your profile
  • You have successfully completed your engineering degree with a specialisation in mechanical engineering or have a comparable qualification
  • > 5 years of professional experience in the above-mentioned field
  • Experience in leading project teams/engineers and taking responsibility for work packages and their monitoring is desirable
  • Knowledge of applicable standards and execution classes in mechanical and plant engineering (Machinery Directive/Regulation, DIN EN 1090, welding and testing standards, etc.) is desirable
  • Construction site and practical experience is an advantage
  • Experience with modern CAE software (COMOS, SolidEdge, AutoDESK (Inventor), etc.) desirable
  • Experience in the Building Information Modelling (BIM) process an advantage
  • Initiative, ability to work in a team, assertiveness
  • Negotiation skills, coordination and organisational skills
  • Mobility and willingness to work abroad on a temporary basis
