Summary
The Associate Manager, Market Access is responsible for implementing actionable reimbursement strategies. This role reports directly to the Senior Director, Strategic Reimbursement
Responsibilities
- Works closely with Senior Director and cross-functionally with analytics, billing, managed care, commercial, and clinical teams
- Prepares analysis of market and reimbursement landscape for NeoGenomics test offerings
- Through business analytics tools and payor policy review, identifies areas of opportunity to improve reimbursement for current and future test offerings
- Implements strategies to gain payment for proprietary assays and offerings by Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and other private insurance providers
- Works with the Marketing, Product Management, and Clinical teams to develop reimbursement specific promotional materials for our proprietary offerings
- Coordinates with internal stakeholders and departments on cross-functional projects
- Assists Senior Director in monitoring federal and commercial payor climate, including policy and legislation, communicating to senior management, and responding to threats and opportunities
- Prepares analysis of market and reimbursement potential for our proprietary offerings, presents proprietary testing rationale to targeted payors and clients
- Works closely with the billing department and product management to track payment, denial trending, and appeal status for Neo offerings
- Educates Marketing, Product Management, Managed Care, and Commercial teams on developed strategies
- Assists in the creation of product dossiers and other supporting materials to gain reimbursement for all testing from government, payors and clients
- Participates in ACLA, CCLA and other trade organization calls and annual meetings and reports findings to Director and/or Senior Leadership
- Attends CPT Editorial Panel Meetings monitoring, agenda items, and panel of actions pertaining to molecular diagnostic testing relative to NeoGenomics and reports findings to Director and/or Senior Leadership
- Monitors impact of state and federal legislation that impacts reimbursement and payment policies pertaining to molecular diagnostic testing relative to NeoGenomics and reports findings to Director and/or Senior Leadership
- Effectively mentors and coaches billing reimbursement audit team to provide a fulfilling work environment, encourages professional development and career growth
- Establishes expectations and measures performance of billing reimbursement team
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred MHA, MPH, MBA)

- Understanding of laboratory testing and clinical utility of certain tests
- Strong business acumen, including experience using financial analytics
- Ability to develop and execute priorities and approaches to meet objectives
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office with experience in creating Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations
- Demonstrated purpose-driven desire to improve healthcare and access to care
- Demonstrated desire and aptitude to build upon proficiency in understanding and communicating clinical and technical information related to laboratory and oncologic diseases

Travel Required
Yes, as required ~10%. Must be willing to occasionally travel to visit potential or current clients, to meet with NeoGenomics colleagues off-site, or to attend industry meetings and conferences
