Are you a customer‑obsessed builder with a passion for helping customers achieve their full potential in the era of AI and cloud computing? Do you have the business savvy, Data Estate Modernization background, and sales skills necessary to help position AWS as the leading cloud and AI provider for customers? By establishing and growing business and technical relationships, and managing the day‑to‑day interactions with these stakeholders, you will be responsible for driving top‑line revenue growth and overall end‑customer adoption of our comprehensive data and AI solutions.

Key job responsibilities
  • Own overall Sales strategy for Data/AI products across customer segments in Germany.
  • Manage a team of Sales Specialists and indirectly lead Sales and Specialized Solutions Architects to solve problems and accelerate adoption for your customers/technology domain.
  • Interact at the CxO/VP level, as well as developers and technical architects, to develop pipeline, secure lighthouse customers, drive top‑line revenue, and explore strategic partnerships.
  • Enable account teams on Data Modernization sales plays, programs and services, as well as technology and consulting partner channels.
  • Partner with business development and Go‑To‑Market specialist and solutions architecture teams to accelerate Data Estate Modernization opportunities within strategic customer segments and key accounts.
  • Meet or exceed annual revenue targets.
  • Develop long‑term and strategic relationships with key accounts and stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Several years of experience leading high‑performance teams in a matrix environment.
  • Several years of relevant Sales, GTM (Go‑To‑Market), or Consulting experience.
  • Several years of technology experience in Data & AI.
  • BA/BS degree required.
  • Fluent German and English skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills with both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Established track record of building rapport with customer executives (e.g., CEO, COO, CIO, CTO, CMO), building close relationships, and closing large revenue accounts, ideally across multiple industries.
  • Experience and success in negotiating complex deals with customers and partners. You have consistently exceeded quotas by doing the right thing for your customer.
  • Experience in a heavily matrix sales environment, including developing, implementing, managing, and executing cross‑functional solutions‑led go‑to‑market growth initiatives and sales motion.
  • Deep understanding of cloud technologies, including public and hybrid cloud platforms.
  • Technical background in engineering, computer science, or Management Information Systems a plus.
