In this role, you will partner with customers to drive the large-scale adoption of AI and cloud technologies, using a programmatic approach to accelerate transformation across their business. You will elevate our collaboration by leveraging the Microsoft Unified support model, ensuring our engagements deliver both technical depth and strategic value. Your focus will include identifying and growing value-generating opportunities where customers can truly benefit from the capabilities of the cloud. As a Senior Cloud Solution Architect, you will seamlessly navigate between deep technical architecture discussions and strategic C-level conversations, adapting your communication to effectively engage diverse stakeholders. Responsibilities
  • Understand customers' overall business and IT priorities and success measures for AI, platform engineering, application modernization, and cloud migration opportunities.
  • Act as the voice of the customer by driving new feedback into engineering, providing insights on usage and application patterns, and accelerate solution delivery through architectural reviews, proof of concepts/MVP applications, and environment setup.
  • Support customer skilling by making skilling recommendations or delivering technical discussions, workshops, and other cloud readiness activities, and ensure that solutions exhibit performance, security, scalability, maintainability, and reliability upon deployment.
  • Consumption (Cloud & Support) growth — Develop opportunities to drive Customer Success business results and help customers get value from their Microsoft investments; identify resolutions to customer blockers by leveraging subject matter expertise and internal Microsoft processes for escalations to support and engineering.
  • Drive customer/partner relationships to anticipate, identify, escalate, and work to resolve technical blockers to accelerate consumption and solution implementation; proactively use knowledge of Microsoft products, services, and value propositions (and those of competitors) in conversations to identify growth opportunities based on customer needs.
  • Learn new technologies or services aligned to customer needs and patterns in cloud application development; stay current with the latest Azure, AI, and GitHub capabilities, cloud application patterns; be a practitioner of one or more enterprise languages (e.g., .NET, Python, Java, JavaScript/Node.js) and related frameworks.
  • Share ideas, insights, and strategic technical input with technical teams and internal communities; participate in external technical community events (e.g., conferences, seminars, technical meetups, Webcasts, blogs, hackathons) and generate ideas for changes and improvements to existing IP, technologies, and processes for designated customers/partners to drive IP reuse, best-practice sharing, and consumption acceleration.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 10+ years of experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, IT consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development, or related areas.
  • 10+ years of experience in a customer-facing role (internal and/or external).
  • 10+ years of experience working on technical projects.
  • Technical certifications in cloud (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google) and security certifications.
  • Deep experience in enterprise-level cloud and hybrid infrastructures, DevOps principles, platform engineering, and solution design; skilled in development using .NET, Java, JavaScript/Node.js, or Python and related frameworks.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, executive presence, strong influencing skills with customers regardless of authority, and proven experience leading end-to-end transformational processes.
