Mackenzie Stuart is working with a leading 3rd party logistics organisation to find a highly motivated and results-oriented Sales Director to lead and expand our sales activities within Central Europe and expand strategically important DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) region. Reporting directly to the Managing Director CE, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to achieve growth targets, build strong customer relationships, and further establish our presence in this key market. This role requires a deep understanding of the logistics industry, proven sales leadership experience, and excellent communication skills, with a strong preference for fluency in English and German.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies and plans tailored to the Central Europe and DACH market, aligning with the overall company objectives.
  • Market Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, analyze market trends, and understand the competitive landscape within the logistics sector.
  • Sales Team Management: Build, lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team. This includes setting clear targets, providing coaching and training, and fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
  • Key Account Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and strategic partners within Central Europe and the DACH region, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including solution design, operations, marketing, and customer service, to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Budget Management: Manage the sales budget effectively, ensuring optimal resource allocation and a strong return on investment.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel within Central Europe and the DACH region as required to meet with clients, attend industry events, and support the sales team.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven track record of successful sales leadership within the logistics industry, with a demonstrable focus on the DACH region.
  • Deep understanding of the DACH logistics market, including key industry players, trends, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong network of contacts within the DACH logistics sector is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients at all levels.
  • Fluency in German (both written and spoken) is highly preferred. Proficiency in English is essential.
  • Experience in developing and implementing successful sales strategies and achieving ambitious sales targets.
  • Proven ability to build, lead, and motivate high-performing sales teams.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
