Your profile
  • Degree in Space Engineering, Aerospace Engineering (M.Sc.) or similar
  • Minimum of 2 years of full-time experience
  • Advanced skills in CAD modelling
  • Profound understanding of the rocket engine design process and its subsystems
  • Profound understanding of physics, fluid dynamics, manufacturing processes, rocket engine/propulsion systems
  • Profound understanding of manufacturing methods of rocket engine components
  • Proactive thinking, high level of motivation, flexibility, and team-working skills
  • Proficiency in both German and English
  • Knowledge of Creo is an advantage
  • Experience with Windchill is an advantage
  • Experience with qualification/certification
  • Work experience in a start-up environment

Your mission
  • Maintain and manage the master CAD model of the rocket engine, including configuration control and subsystem integration
  • Design engine components and produce detailed technical drawings
  • Perform thermo-mechanical simulations (thermal/structural FE analyses) and iterate designs based on results
  • Ensure manufacturability, tolerance accuracy, and material suitability
  • Coordinate with analysis, test, and integration teams to incorporate design updates
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding manufacturability, materials, design requirements and review supplier drawings
  • Maintain BOMs and support procurement and assembly
  • Document design changes through the engineering change process
