MULTIPLE OPEN POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER POSITIONS IN THE CLUSTER OF EXCELLENCE IntCDC - Integrative Computational Design and Construction for Architecture

The Cluster of Excellence IntCDC at the University of Stuttgart is a leading research centre in the field of architecture, engineering and construction. IntCDC’s interdisciplinary team of over 175 scientists from the University of Stuttgart, the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems and Bauhaus Earth researches the methodological foundations for the urgently needed, future-proof and climate-positive transformation of the way buildings are designed and constructed.

Research areas

We are looking for motivated researchers in the following research areas:

Advanced computational design methods Cyber-physical robotic fabrication and construction Digital timber construction Fibre composites in architecture

Qualifications

We expect you to have:

A strong architectural, engineering or computer science doctoral degree Significant experience and a strong track record of conducting research in one of the research areas outlined above A high level of motivation, team spirit and interest in interdisciplinary work A strong ability to work independently and take initiative in collaborative research Excellent English language skills are required
