Your Job
Become a member of the Legal & Compliance Team at Great Lakes and support the Head of Legal & Compliance and the Board of Management in communicating with Regulators, in particular:
- Track, coordinate, and collate communications with Regulators in accordance with established processes for incoming and outgoing regulatory communication ("communication processes") for Great Lakes Germany and support its international Branch offices;
- Maintain an IT infrastructure for the communication processes;
- Administer the communication process, including registering (documenting) and tracking regulatory communications as well as management reporting;
- Advise the Board of Management, stakeholders, and functional owners on the best communication strategy and approach for regulatory requests and notifications;
- Coordinate the collection of information and drafting responses to regulatory inquiries or perform final reviews as needed;
- Provide updates to the Board and stakeholders about new regulatory communications and their status, including regular and ad hoc reports;
- Lead the preparation for on-site visits by regulatory authorities in Munich and support preparations in branch offices;
- Support the Head of Legal & Compliance in fulfilling legal and compliance mandates.
Your Profile
- Above-average legal qualification (German state examination or UK/US equivalent) or degree in economics or similar with proven compliance experience;
- Proven knowledge of primary insurance regulatory environment and business;
- Interest in the wider business environment and technical issues;
- Analytical, pragmatic, solution-oriented thinker with a strong service and hands-on mentality;
- Ability to work on complex projects;
- Ability to communicate complex issues clearly;
- Exceptional empathy, communication, networking, and team skills;
- High personal commitment and intercultural competence;
- Fluency in both German and English is required.
