Main Purpose of the Role

Within our Group Regulatory Affairs Sustainability Team, we are looking for a specialist in sustainability regulations, with a special focus on those applicable to packaging.
The person will work globally in an international team and will support the company to comply with sustainability regulations.

What you will do
  • Monitor, interpret, and implement sustainability-related regulations across global markets, such as waste management, recyclability, overpackaging and slack fill, waste disposal, green legislation and claim assessment;
  • Specific knowledge in waste management, including labelling (waste disposal), and green claims supporting all the technical aspects in their development;
  • Prepare and issue communications on legislation in scope and its impact on the Company’ products;
  • Verification of material/decks/press to be shared with relevant stakeholders;
  • Attend association meetings and participate to initiatives and working groups;
  • Manage external contacts (e.g. consultants and associations);
  • Provide regulatory guidance to cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and alignment with sustainability goals;
  • Support other functions in managing projects providing information and interpretation of rules and legislative monitoring;
  • Develop and maintain internal procedures and training materials related to sustainability compliance;
  • Track emerging trends and best practices in circular economy, and ESG reporting;
  • Knowledge of designed for recycling principle;
  • Potential support on CSRD, CSDDD, sustainability reporting.

Our Perfect Candidate
  • Degree in Environmental Engineering, Material Science, Environmental Science and Sustainability, or other related fields;
  • At least 3 years of experience working in a sustainability-related area;
  • Proficient level of English both oral and written;
  • Good knowledge of legislation on sustainability and green claims;
  • Knowledge of regulatory developments on sustainability and ability to move across regulatory, sustainability, and packaging domains;
  • Strong interest in studying and learning legislation and standards;
  • High interest in legal and technical aspects of regulations;
  • High degree of accuracy, planning, organization and detail-oriented;
  • Quick learner with strong efficiency;
  • Team player and collaborative;
  • Good communication skills and ability to provide clear and effective written advice.
