A leading aerospace company located in Manching is seeking a Quality Engineer to manage quality assurance processes and ensure compliance with standards for avionics systems. Candidates should have a degree in a relevant engineering field and at least 3 years of experience in quality. Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Quality Engineer (Engineering Quality Manager) to act as the guardian of conformity and customer quality requirements and expectations, leading quality aspects along the product development lifecycle and in service support. You will be part of a dynamic international team and in direct contact with Customers and Suppliers. As Quality Engineer for Software and Avionic Projects you will be responsible for the quality aspects of the Airbus DS Military Aircrafts System, Software and Hardware within projects developed in-house and/or by suppliers.

Develop, implement and manage quality assurance requirements and processes for avionics systems/SW/HW in compliance with the applicable standards (e.g. DO-178, DO-254, AQAPs, etc.), including the preparation of Quality Plans and related evidence to demonstrate compliance.
Monitor, control and develop internal and external suppliers to ensure fulfillment and adherence to customer requirements and applicable processes/procedures
Identify quality issues during development and in-service phases, analyse root cause, define mitigation/prevention/correction actions and ensure effective closure, including documentation and reporting.
Prepare and lead quality discussions with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. with customer, supplier, certification authorities)
Define and monitor quality KPIs ensuring implementation of continuous improvement measures per standards and project needs
Release of products, test equipment and quality related documentation
Contribute to and perform internal and external product-related audits
Provide guidance and training on standards, quality assurance and best practices to internal and external stakeholders
University degree in Electrical/Software/Aerospace/Electrotechnical Engineering or equivalent
At least 3 years of working experience
Experience with System/Software/Hardware development lifecycles
Experience in Qualification/Certification of Software/ Complex Electronic Hardware
Experience in Quality within Development/Design environments
Experience with A/C development standards (e.g. DO-178, DO-278, DO-254, DO-330, etc.)
Experience with Aircraft and in particular with the Eurofighter, Tornado or other Weapon Systems is welcomed
Language skills: business fluent English, German would be a plus
