HomeToGo is seeking for a highly motivated Project Manager Accounting Automation [German-speaking] (m/f/d) to drive efficiency and automation initiatives within our Accounting department. The ideal candidate will combine strong project management skills with a deep understanding of accounting processes and technology. In this role, you will identify process inefficiencies, design and implement automation solutions, and ensure sustainable improvements that increase accuracy, speed, and compliance across finance operations. How you'll add value
  • Analyze end-to-end accounting workflows to identify efficiency and automation opportunities and collaborate with Accounting, Group Accounting, Tax and our Tech teams to design and implement scalable solutions.
  • Lead projects focused on process optimization, automation, and system enhancements within the Accounting function, incl. roll-outs of our central ERP system S/4HANA to further group entities.
  • Manage vendor relationships for automation tools, ERP systems, and related technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory frameworks when implementing process changes.
  • Conduct training and change management activities to ensure successful adoption of new tools and processes.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in accounting automation (e.g., RPA, AI, ERP enhancements).
  • Define project goals, KPIs, and success metrics; monitor progress and deliver results on time and within budget.

What you'll be successful with
  • Have Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Proven experience (3-5 years) in project management, process optimization, or finance transformation roles.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and workflows (e.g., AP, AR, GL, financial close, reconciliations).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and automation tools (e.g., UiPath, Power Automate, Alteryx).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to map, model, and redesign processes.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum) is a plus.
  • High proficiency in written and verbal English and German.
