About the Role

We seek a strategically minded and experienced R&D Project Lead for aerospace rubber products. This role will comprehensively oversee the development, process engineering, and experimental framework for specialised aerospace sealing, cushioning, and protective rubber components. The incumbent will drive the entire product lifecycle from market research to delivery, enhancing product competitiveness and expanding our aviation sector operations.

Responsibilities

• Market & Technical Insights : Conduct market demand research and analysis for specialised aerospace rubber products, informing product development decisions.
• Product Development Leadership : Oversee formulation design, validation, and optimisation for aerospace rubber products, establishing a comprehensive product development framework.
• Process & Standardisation : Develop technical process documentation and inspection standards, building an efficient and reliable manufacturing system.
• Testing Framework Development : Establish a product testing and inspection system encompassing experimental protocols, equipment, methodologies, and principles.
• Technical Problem Solving : Lead resolution of critical production challenges to ensure products meet stringent aerospace performance requirements, including high-pressure resistance, corrosion resistance, and extreme temperature tolerance.
• Team and Talent Development : Oversee selection, training, and management of technical talent pipelines, establishing a comprehensive talent development framework.

Qualifications

• Education : Bachelor's degree or higher, with proficiency in fundamental polymer science and a deep understanding of rubber material structure and properties.

Required Skills

• Over 10 years' experience in developing and designing aerospace rubber products (sealing / buffering / protective types), including at least 3 years as a technical team leader and having spearheaded at least 3 complete development projects for relevant products.
• Expertise in rubber material properties and moulding processes for specialised aerospace products.
• Outstanding capabilities in new product formulation design and process optimisation.
• Proficiency in relevant drafting software and material testing / characterisation methods.
• Familiarity with industry standards and performance requirements for aerospace rubber products.
• Experience in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.
