Process Engineer Sensor Manufacturing (m/w/d)

Jobst Technologies GmbH provides unique bioanalytical sensors for biomedical and biotech applications since 2002.
We sense what matters for those patients in need, from intensive care to next generation personalized medicine through volume manufacture and deep-tech research.
At our site in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany, we are looking for a Process Engineer Sensor Manufacturing in the field of microsystems technology and bio-micro-functionalization.

Your role:
  • As a core team member, you will work on front-end wafer-level processing, including MEMS processing, chemical and electrochemical manufacturing steps, subtractive and additive (micro) manufacturing, utilizing thin-film, flexprint, and in-house processes.
  • Process engineering and optimization, including documentation and reporting of results
  • Validation of sensor performance on microfluidic, automated machinery
  • R&D (and its validation) on new equipment, new and novel processes and biosensor products
  • Creation and contribution to reports, specifications, SOPs and SOP maintenance
Who you are:
  • You have a university degree in natural sciences, microsystems engineering or a related field.
  • You bring solid, hands-on lab and/or cleanroom experience and/or background in microfabrication techniques.
  • You have a strong motivation for highly customized wafer processing, automation, and process characterization.
  • You bring a solid analytical thinking and strong affinity for documentation and characterization according to our internal standards (ISO 9001).
  • You have an independent way of working, are striving to satisfy our customers’ needs, have a high level of enthusiasm and commitment, and are eager to quickly take on responsibility.
  • Proficiency in English is required
