Jobbeschreibung

At Medtronic, you can start a lifelong career of exploration and innovation while helping to champion healthcare access and equity for all. You’ll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world.

A Day in the Life

As a Principal Field Clinical Specialist, you will provide daily support for clinical studies, technical education, site management, coordination, and training for the Mitral and Tricuspid (M&T) Therapies clinical programs. Your role involves promoting clinical programs through educating current and new investigators, supporting new technologies and cases to ensure safe patient outcomes, and achieving company objectives. The M&T Structural Heart Business is one of the fastest-growing in the medical device industry and is expanding rapidly to serve patients worldwide.

The Structural Heart and Aortic integrated operating unit offers minimally invasive approaches to restore the proper structure and function of the heart and aorta. We focus on transcatheter replacement or repair of the four heart valves—aortic, pulmonic, mitral, tricuspid—and the placement of stent grafts to treat aneurysms and dissections of the aorta.

Join a diverse team of innovators who bring their unique backgrounds and experiences to work every day. We strive to cultivate a workforce that reflects our patients and partners, believing it’s essential to advance healthcare and maintain our leadership in medical technology and solutions.

This role covers Germany and other European markets and is remote. Your home or remote location will be your primary work site. There is a facility-based immunization requirement, specifically full Measles immunization, to fill this position.

Responsibilities may include:

  1. Conducting on-site education and consulting
  2. Supporting field personnel to ensure optimal outcomes and service for Medtronic customers
  3. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement enrollment plans
  4. Participating in conventions, forums, and meetings to increase product awareness
  5. Working closely with Therapy Development Management to provide customer case and education support
  6. Identifying and facilitating growth opportunities with the Clinical Support Team
  7. Serving as a technical resource for specific medical products or solutions

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • University degree and a minimum of 6 years of clinical support experience (e.g., as a field clinical specialist, clinical engineer, or relevant hospital experience)
  • Extensive experience with Structural Heart procedures and trans-septal procedures (TAVR, Mitral, Tricuspid, LAAC, etc.)
  • Experience with echocardiographic imaging of the mitral and/or tricuspid valves
  • Clinical research experience in structural heart or other medical devices
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, MS Project (or similar)
  • Business fluency in German and English

Experience with CT segmentation and analysis software (e.g., 3Mensio), and knowledge of GCP/regulatory guidelines for clinical trials, are advantageous.

Physical Job Requirements:

The above describes the general nature and level of work but is not exhaustive of all responsibilities and skills required.
