INTERNSHIP/THESIS IN CAE – PLASTIC INJECTION OVERMOLDING SIMULATION

YOUR TASKS
  • Assist SolverDevelopment: Contribute to creating an algorithm to predict ink wash and remelt of the first injected part during overmolding.
  • Support API Integration: Help integrate and utilize Moldflow API for simulation and data extraction.
  • Material Behavior Analysis: Assist in analyzing flow behavior, thermal interactions, and material properties influencing remelt.
  • Collaboration: Gain insights by working closely with experts in polymer processing and simulation to validate and optimize the solver.

START: after arrangement
DURATION: at least 12 weeks

  • Enrollment: You are enrolled at a university and have not yet completed your final examination.
  • Programming Skills: Basic knowledge of C++ and Python.
  • Technical Background: Experience in mechanical engineering, plastics/material science, or computational modeling.
  • Simulation Tools: Familiarity within injection molding simulation tools (Moldflow, Moldex3D) is a plus.
  • Interest: Passion for process optimization and predictive modeling for polymer manufacturing.
  • Work Style: Reliable, motivated, and a strong team player.
