A dynamic tech company in Germany is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to build and manage infrastructure with Terraform and AWS services. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience in a DevOps role and expertise in automation tools such as GitLab CI and Docker. As part of a collaborative team, you will focus on scalability, security, and efficiency, while implementing monitoring systems and integrating best practices. This role offers a supportive and goal-driven environment.
Build and manage infrastructure using Terraform and similar tools to ensure scalability, security, and efficiency;
Design, implement, and maintain automated pipelines for faster, more reliable software delivery;
Create and maintain scripts for deployment, configuration, and operational tasks;
Implement monitoring and logging systems to maintain high availability and quickly detect issues;
Work closely with development and operations teams to integrate DevOps best practices;
Apply infrastructure and application security best practices, perform audits, and address vulnerabilities;
Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation for processes, configurations, and troubleshooting;
Provide operational support, troubleshooting assistance, and guidance to internal teams;
Participate in on-call rotations to ensure the timely resolution of critical incidents.
3+ years in a DevOps, SRE, or related role;
Strong hands‑on experience with AWS services including EC2, ECS, EKS, RDS, DocumentDB, ElastiCache, Keyspaces, S3, EBS, VPC, Route53, KMS, ACM, and CloudWatch;
Proficiency with Terraform, Terragrunt, and Atlantis for reproducible and version‑controlled infrastructure;
Experience with GitLab CI, FluxCD, Argo Rollouts, and automation tools (Ansible, Python, Bash);
Solid experience with Docker, Kubernetes (AWS EKS), and Helm (including custom templates, ChartMuseum);
Familiarity with cluster add‑ons such as KEDA, VPA, Karpenter, External‑DNS, ingress-nginx, aws-alb-controller, and ebs-csi-driver;
Hands‑on experience with Grafana, VictoriaMetrics stack, Tempo, metrics exporters, Pingdom, AWS CloudWatch, and alerting systems like PagerDuty, VMAlert, and Alertmanager;
Familiarity with Cloudflare services, including caching, DNS, and Workers;
Strong problem‑solving skills, ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams, and clear communication;
Certifications: AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, or Helm certifications are a plus.
